Medical Camp at Latala - 08,09/11/2010

A medical camp was organised by the Khangura family at Latala village dispensary on 8 and 9 November. A team of doctors from U.K, Dr. Manjit Sagoo, Nirmal Sahmi, Ann Batters, Raj Patel, and Joshna Patel ran the free camp. This was its second year after being a big success last year. Nearly 280 patients were given free check-ups of eyes, blood sugar, orthopaedic issues and general health. Free medicines were also given to the patients related to their problems. Jagpal Singh Khangura said “I am glad we are blessed with the ability to run such camps, since they clearly serve a very important purpose to the people of the area. I hope we will be able to make this a regular annual event.”

Washington : The Indian-American community in the US has urged the Trump administration to “fully support” India’s decision to revoke the constitutional provision that accorded special status to Jammu and Kashmir and to continue to exert pressure on Pakistan to end its support to cross-border terrorism.
