Khangura launches exciting new website for constituents and NRIs - 01/09/2011

Jassi Khangura, MLA for Qila Raipur, today launched his exciting and informative new website www.jassikhangura.com. Jassi said “this is now my one stop portal for information on Dakha and Qila Raipur areas as well as having a separate section for NRIs.”

The site has been developed to help people find the information they want, including data on villages and a specially designed section explaining how NRIs can register to vote in India. It was designed after user feedback from some of the 40,000 people Jassi connects with online, of which about 40% are NRIs.

Jassi said “I wanted to replace my old site with something more relevant to people’s needs and requirements today, hence it has a Facebook plugin, which acknowledges the importance of that to our users also.”

Khangura added “not only is the site updated quickly with constituency events and activities, but it’s designed to enable the user to engage with me and my team more easily. I’ve also included a “best of Jassi” section to allow new users a fasttrack introduction to my work.”

Not only is the new website a great resource but Khangura said “I’m also pleased to say that from September my monthly e-newsletter will also be in a new design that will compliment this new site, giving a much more contemporary look and feel to our communications”

Jassi is confident that the new site www.jassikhangura.com. reflects fully his learning curve in Punjab politics and he hopes that his constituents, supporters and other users will utilise its extensive interactivity. Like all legislators Jassi thrives on feedback.
