LOCAL BODIES DEPT READIES DRAFT AD POLICY

CHANDIGARH: Local bodies minister Navjot Sidhu on Friday said that the draft of a comprehensive and uniform 'Punjab Municipal Outdoor Advertisement Policy and Bye-Laws 2018' has been readied by his department.

Sidhu said the final policy will be implemented from March by all means. Under the new policy, nobody would be allowed to display advertisements on the rooftops. Listing the salient features of the draft, the minister said nobody would be allowed to display advertisements on rooftops. The shopkeepers would only be allowed to display a single advertisement per floor on shops.
