Four Akali Dal workers booked for attacking Cong supporter

BATHINDA: Four Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) workers have been booked for opening fire at a Congress supporter Pargat Singh at Mehraj village here.

On complaint of Pargat, police booked Kulwant Singh, Amarveer Singh, Harinder Singh and Maninder Singh, all residents of the same village under sections 326 (voluntarily causing grievous hurt by dangerous weapons or means), 341 (wrongful restraint) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code and sections of the Arms Act. The complainant alleged the accused stopped him and opened fire at him on Thursday. He has been admitted in Adesh hospital in Bhucho. The accused are yet to be arrested.
