NRI Sabha Punjab

The NRI Sabha Punjab was established as an NGO Society registered with the approval of Punjab Govt. under the Societies Registration Act in the year 1996. NRI Sabha Punjab is a service body with an involvement of NRIs, their well-wishers in Punjab, government of Punjab and the Government Officers. NRI Sabha Punjab is a non-political body.

The main objectives of the NRI Sabha are to:
(a) Help the NRIs in protecting their rights in Punjab especially in property related matters;
(b) Provide facilities to NRIs on their visit to Punjab;
(c) Pursue the interests of the NRIs with the State and Central Govt.;
(d) Help in investment of NRIs in Punjab for economic development;
(e) Maintain Cultural and ethnic bonds of Punjab with the NRIs especially with the new generation of the NRIs;
(f) Promote social welfare in Punjab by motivating the NRIs and their friends and relatives residing in Punjab;
(g) Provide a forum for the NRIs, their friends and relatives living in Punjab and the Government to join and act together.

Washington : The Indian-American community in the US has urged the Trump administration to “fully support” India’s decision to revoke the constitutional provision that accorded special status to Jammu and Kashmir and to continue to exert pressure on Pakistan to end its support to cross-border terrorism.
