MOGA: Former Punjab DGP KPS Gill while expressing concern over alarming increase in inflow if drugs and narcotics in state, said measures should be taken to check drug addiction among youths.
He was addressing a gathering a cultural programme at village Talwandi Malhian in district yesterday, where he stressed the need to eliminate drug mafia with a strong hand.
He said, there was need to maintain the hard-earned peace in Punjab for which several innocents, cops laid down their lives.
“Certain forces are still bent upon to disturb the peace in state.”
The state can develop and progress only in a peaceful atmosphere, he said.
