Villagers beat up teacher for molesting students

Moga : A school teacher of Government Primary School at Tarkhanwad village in Moga district has been suspended for attending the school in inebriated condition and allegedly molesting the girl students.
The suspension came after angry kin of at least 50 students gheraoed the school demanding action against 36-year-old Parminder Singh, who used to come to school drunk and indulge in indecent acts with girl students of Class 5 or below. As per the parents, despite several complaints to the school authorities over the past several months, no action was taken against Parminder. A police team reached the school followed by DEO. Although the teacher was arrested and taken for medical check up at primary heath centre, Dhudike, where doctors confirmed that he had consumed alcohol, no case has been registered against him yet.
