Students say brother had raped, killed girl

ROHTAK: Five days after the mysterious death of a Class-10 girl of a government school at Bhaini Maharajpur village near Meham town, girl students of the school blocked traffic on the RohtakHisar road here on Thursday.
The protesters alleged that the 16-year-old victim, who was cremated discreetly by her parents, was raped by her brother and was later killed to evade police action. When villagers questioned, her kin said they found her dead in the house and cremated her.
The protesters accused the victim's brother of raping and murdering her to save the family honour. However, the girl’s parents rubbished the charges saying that their daughter was found dead and they cremated her as they did not suspect anything unusual in it.
