Amritsar: 15-year-old raped by classmate

AMRITSAR: A student of Class 8 was raped by her classmate in Amritsar. The classmate also threatened the girl with dire consequences, the police said.
The boy has been booked following a complaint by the girl’s family and on the basis of the victim’s statement.
The boy had forcibly entered the girl’s home and raped her on two occasions - on June 1 and again on June 6 when she was alone.
A case under various Sections of the IPC, including rape and threatening the victim, has been registered against the boy. However, the accused is yet to be arrested.
The victim mentioned that the boy’s father, who was an ASI rank officer in Punjab Police and posted in Amritsar, also threatened her on mobile to remain quiet about the rape. Police said the medical examination of the girl confirmed rape.
