Teenaged girl gang-raped in Amritsar

Amritsar : A 16-year-old girl was allegedly raped by five youths in Baba Bakala area near here. In her complaint, the victim, who works as a domestic help, alleged that while she was returning home on July 7, one of the accused, Dilpreet Singh alias Raja of Baba Bakala, approached her.
As he was known to her, she accompanied him to a shop for purchasing a mobile SIM card. Once inside the shop, the accused downed the shutters and raped her, the girl alleged.
The accused then called his four friends who too raped her. The incident came to light this morning when the victim escaped from captivity and sought police help. A complaint has been lodged at the Beas police station. Three of the accused have been arrested.
