In a shocking incident, a student of a private school with two of his accomplices abducted his junior in school from her house on Thursday night to take revenge on her and gangraped her.

The accused was pulled up by the girl’s family around a month ago following her complaint of being stalked by the accused.

After committing the crime, they threw her on the periphery of the village in the wee hours of Friday and fled. The girl reached her house and narrated the incident to her parents, who took her to Koom Kalan police station.

On the statement of the victim, the police registered a case under section 363 (kidnapping) and 376 (rape) of the IPC against the accused.

At the time of the incident, the girl was alone in the house, while her parents had gone to visit one of the relatives.

The accused have been identified as Jaskamal Singh, 20, of Tajpur village, Jasandeep Singh, 19, and Ajay Kumar, 20, both residents of Sahnewal. Taking swift action, the police arrested the three accused on Friday. They will be produced before the court on Saturday.

The victim is a student of class 11 in a public school in Koom Kalan area.

According to the complaint filed by the victim, Jaskamal Singh, who is a student of Class 12 in the same school, used to stalk her in school and she had complained against him to her parents a month ago. The family pulled up Jaskaran and had warned him against repeating the mistake. Following this, the accused nursed a grudge against her.

The victim told the police that the accused knocked at her door on Thursday and barged in. They overpowered her and gagged her before taking her to a deserted place on their motorcycles, and then raped her. The accused threatened her not to disclose the incident to anyone.

Koom Kalan police station SHO Surjit Singh Nagra said the accused were arrested immediately after lodging of the FIR.
