AMRITSAR: The city police today arrested two persons identified as Ripudaman Singh and Balwinder Singh, both residents of colonies near Central jail on Ajnala Road here today. One kilogram of heroin worth Rs.5 crore in the international black market was recovered from their possession.
Commissioner of police JS Aulakh said the police party on the input raided the residents of the two and made the recovery. He said they had been doing the smuggling for the last a few years and Ripudaman so far has sold 10 Kgs of heroin to balwinder. They are basically property dealer but were indulging in the smuggling for the extra-buck.
The police have registered the case and further investigations were on. In another case police arrested Manjit Singh and Pankaj, residents of Meeran Kot and recovered power like substance and the investigations were on to find out if those were drugs.
