Gurdaspur police arrest another Khalistani militant

GURDASPUR: The Gurdaspur police on Friday arrested yet another militant of Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF).

The police had earlier rounded up three KLF militants in a high-end operation on September 14.

Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Sukhwant Singh Gill while addressing mediaperons said the police had arrested one Harpreet Singh Saini after receiving inputs about his whereabouts from various intelligence agencies.

The main accused Gurpreet Singh is still at large.

All the Khalistani Force operatives arrested till date have revealed that Gurpreet Singh had links with terrorists settled abroad.

Punjab DGP Sumedh Singh Saini in a high-level meeting of intelligence officers, a fortnight ago had indentified around 77 Hindu leaders who had been under KLF’s radar. The security of all those leaders has been beefed up by Punjab government.
