Jalandhar: Industrialist, lady doctor booked in rape-abortion case

JALANDHAR: Commissionerate police have booked Harbans Dhall, an industrialist running a footwear unit his wife and a lady doctor of Amrita Hospital u/s 376 and 313 of the IPC.
Assistant Commissioner of Police Ravinder Pal Singh Sandhu said today that the investigations done in the case by the police on different theories including the inspection of medical records at the Amrita hospital, statements of the medical staff at the hospital and the statements of the workers employed at the Jagdambe Footwear had confirmed that the girl was raped by the owner of the industrial unit and that she was taken to the Amrita hospital by the wife of the accused industrialist where she was aborted.
ACP Sandhu said that the police was hunting for the accused as they all are on the run. He hoped that the accused could be apprehended any moment.
