Youth Congress gears up for polls

Ludhiana : Youth Congress leaders pulled up their socks for the membership drive and the elections of Youth Congress. The membership in youth Congress will kick off on Monday and after the membership drive the election procedure of office bearers will start.
The state president and the other office bearers will be elected through voting process which will go on till March next year. The election of Youth Congress will be held after three years. Ahead of 2017 Vidhan Sabha elections, the party high command pulled up the leaders to enrol large number of youth as members. The party high command will kick off the membership drive from Monday and will also announce the terms and conditions to become the member of youth congress. At president the age to become the member and office bearer of youth Congress of 35 but the leaders hopes that the age relaxation will be 40 this time. General Secretary of Punjab youth Congress Kamaljeet Singh Brar said in other political parties the age to become member of Youth wing is 40 and this time the Congress high command may relax the age limit to 40 from 35.
He further said the membership drive will continue for next two months before election process will be started.
“The youth Congress leaders were geared up for the membership drive in the state and the party will emerge as the strongest party in state” , claimed Brar.
