Receiving many complaints against Sidhu: Akal Takht

Amritsar : Akal Takht Jathedar Giani Gurbachan Singh here on Tuesday said that he was receiving many complaints from various Sikh organisations against former Amritsar Member of Parliament Navjot Singh Sidhu for misquoting Gurbani. He said, “The matter will be discussed in the next meeting of Sikh clergies.” “I have not taken any action against him but it will be decided soon,” he said.
However, Sikh Student Federation (Mehta) has handed over a memorandum to the Jathedar and seek strict action against Sidhu. District president of SSF Amarbir Singh Dhot requested Jathedar to summon Sidhu. He said, “Sidhu hurt the sentiments of Sikh community by committing.” Earlier, All India Sikh Student Federation (AISSF) has lodged its complaint against Sidhu to the Akal Takht and demanded action against him.
