ED brings Bittu Aulakh from Nabha jail on two-day remand

JALANDHAR: The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Monday brought former Akali leader Maninder Singh Bittu, alias Aulakh, one of the accused in the ` 6,000 crore synthetic drug racket, from high-security Nabha jail on two-day custodial remand.
Speaking to mediapersons, Aulakh said he was innocent and did nothing wrong and demanded CBI probe into the case. When asked about revenue minister Bikram Singh Majithia, the police immediately took him to the ED office of ED. The ED had filed an application for custodial interrogation of Aulakh, a Delhibased businessman Varinder Raja and Sukhjeet Sukha, all accused in this drug racket, from a Patiala court on December 23.
On January 8, the ED had brought Raja and Sukha on fourday remand and the two were taken back to Patiala on Monday.
