SC Commission seeks action taken report on Moga incident

Amritsar: National Commission of Schedule Castes has directed Moga Deputy Commissioner and police administration to get the accused identified by victim’s family and submit a report to commission within three days. A 13-year-old girl and her mother was thrown out from a private bus after being molested by the conductor and the helper of the bus, and the minor girl succumbed to her injuries and her critically injured mother was fighting for her life in government hospital.
The commission’s vice chairman Rajkumar Verka said, “I have come to know that buses of Orbit Aviation company were also breaking the norms by using black filming as well as curtains on the window glasses, so I have asked police officials that they should to lodge an immediate complaint against responsible persons.”
He said, “The commission has also writen to Punjab and Haryana High Court in this matter and sought trial through fast track court. I was told by victim’s family that accused persons who were arrested by police in the matter were not real ones and they were not identified by the family till date even cops have not produced them before victim’s kin.”
