Ludhiana : Hitting out at UPA government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Urban development cell of Congress staged a protest against the government at Clock Tower Chowk on Wednesday. The leaders raised slogans against the government and blocked road for some time.
Chairman of Urban Development cell of Congress, Ramesh Joshi said that the Modi government failed to deliver for the common people in one year and now propagating the achievements of the government which is far away from the ground reality.
Joshi further said the small scale industry is in dire need of the relief but the government is busy ion benefiting their corporate friends. The government has no concern for the farmers who were facing hard time this season.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has started Swachh Bharat Abhiyan and issued advertisements in media but the ground reality is that the heaps of garbage dumps can be witnessed on every road, added Joshi.
The division number 1 police reached the spot and pacified the protestors.
