Jat Mahasabha holds protest against hike in fuel prices

Ludhiana : All India Jat Mahasabha Ludhiana unit held a protest against the recent hike in fuel prices and the increase in taxes by the state government putting burden on common people.
The leaders under the leadership of district president Damajit Mohie burnt the effigy of the government and raised slogans against the state government at Jalandhar Bypass and also blocked traffic on Tuesday.
While addressing the protesters, Damanjit Singh Mohie, District President Jat Mahasabha Ludhiana lashed out at Prime Minister Modi and Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and said the they have both made false promise of Acchhe Din with people.
Alleging that the price of pulses had increased from Rs 20 to Rs 40 per kg in the past couple of months, Mohie said that the price if petroleum products had also increased with hefty taxes imposed on it by the state government. Petroleum products are now costliest in the country due to taxes imposed by SAD-BJP regime.
