Cong SC wing protests, blames govt for anti-Dalit stance

Jalandhar: In this season of protests in Jalandhar, Congress Committee scheduled caste wing (urban) protested against the BJP-Akali government called it as ‘anti-Dalits’.
Protesting opposite to the deputy commissioner’s office here, Chairman SC department Congress Jagdish Samrai said that the government is misusing the funds meant for the SC people.
“Government is misusing all the funds meant for the dalits. Money, which is meant for the development of the scheduled castes and educates their children is being used for other purposes.” He said He blamed that government is insincere for the upliftment of the SC people and is deliberately pushing them towards backwardness.
“Big promises by this government are not hidden from anybody. Now, they are befooling people on the name of development and are actually doing nothing.”
