BJP, Akalis unanimous on PM’s rally

Chandigarh : The BJP and the Akalis will jointly participate in the Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s rally to be held at Chandigarh on September 11.

The Chandigarh Admnistration will host the event, which will be an official function of the Prime Minister and not a political rally.

BJP state chief Kamal Sharma said meetings were held between representatives of both parties under the supervision of Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and modalities for the rally finalised.

There were reports that the Akalis might hold a separate rally on that day as they had pursued the International Airport project for long.
