Muktsar : Seeking immediate disbursal of compensation to farmers who suffered losses due to hailstorm and winds, the Kisan and Khet Mazdoor Cell of the Congress today submitted a memorandum to ADC (General) KPS Mahi here today.

Sharanjit Singh Sandhu, district president of the outfit, said, “The hailstorm has caused massive damage to the wheat crop in Bhagsar, Maha Badhar, Rahurianwali, Goneana and Barkandi villages. Besides, the green fodder for animals too was damaged. Last year too these villages had suffered huge losses but the administration is yet to compensate the affected farmers.”
