Jalandhar: All India Mahila Congress president Shobha Oza on Thursday flayed SAD-BJP alliance for putting aside facts presented by Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi about the dismal drugs problem faced by the youth in the state. The national Mahila president said that when Gandhi scion raised the issue that seven out of 10 youth in Punjab were drug addicts, the ruling Punjab government dubbed his statement as ‘baseless’. Oza said that in the coming days, the Punjab Mahila Congress workers would begin state wide protests against drugs mafia ahead of the ensuing assembly elections. “
The All India Mahila Congress president was in Jalandhar to head the International Women’s Day event titled ‘Udaan Mahila Sammelan’ where women from all walks were awarded for their achievement. She was accompanied by Punjab Mahila Congress president Kittu Grewal and other women congress leaders.
