The accused have been identified as Jodh Singh, a medical practitioner in Kauni village, and Badal Singh from Dhulkot village.
Based on a complaint filed at the vigilance bureau headquarters, teams of bureau sleuths from Mohali and Bathinda conducted the raid in the houses of both the accused.

Jodh Singh had hid the tablets in empty shoe boxes and the drug consignment in Badal Singh’s house was kept under a sand heap. Both the accused are considered close to SAD’s Gidderbaha Halqa in charge Hardeep Singh ‘Dimpy’ Dhillon.
The arrest is also being seen connected to the nabbing of former station house officer Jaswinder Singh who was nabbed by the vigilance bureau on August 12 with `50, 000 of bribe money.
Dhulkot village falls under Kotbhai police station.
Bhupinder said that both the accused seem to have got the shelter of arrested SHO to run the drug racket.
Dhillon said that Jodh Singh is his right-hand-man, but claimed to not know Badal Singh. Defending Jodh Singh, he said that he has been arrested on the complaint of a Congress man of the village.
Dhillon added that every medical practitioner keeps some drugs with him that can be used, when required.
