Faridkot : The police today booked district SAD women’s wing president Tarsem Kaur and four unidentified persons on the charge of trying to murder a 17-year-old boy. His family is entangled in a property dispute with Tarsem.

The case was registered on the complaint of the victim, Kanwar Pal Singh of Machaki Mal Singh village. He is a Class XI student.

Kanwar Pal alleged that four persons with their faces covered stopped him near Rajasthan Feeder Canal when he was going for his tuition classes this morning.

After snatching his motorcycle and thrashing him, the accused pushed him into the canal. He saved his life by clutching on to grass on the banks of the canal, Kanwar Pal said. He claimed that the Akali leader conspired to kill him because his family had a dispute over a 14-acre property with her.
