AMRITSAR: Unidentified attackers fired upon Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) district press secretary Gaurav Bhandari, who is also chief parliamentary secretary Dr Navjot Kaur Sidhu’s personal assistant, on Thursday night on the Gumtala bypass near her house here. They asked for her first.

Sangrur : The police today detained 15 Youth Congress workers, when they tried to lock the main gate of the post office. They were protesting the BJP-led Central government’s decision to discontinue the stamps of former Prime Ministers Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi. They were let off by the police after half an hour.
