Amarinder lashes out at akalis

Punjab Pardesh Congress Committee president Capt Amarinder Singh on Thursday said that the Akalis had destroyed an entire generation of Punjabis with drugs. He also said that they had distributed police stations among their legislators and jathedars who are earning money from there, as a result of which the law and order situation has become critical.
Addressing the mediapersons here, Amarinder expressed grave concern over the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. He also said that Congress workers are special targets of the Akalis. He pointed out the death of a young Congress leader Ricky Dulat by Akali leaders in Sangrur.
Lashing out at the Akalis, particularly the Badals, he said that not only they have forced the younger generation into drugs, but they have not even spared the on going kabbadi tournament, where a number of players have been tested positive for the drugs and several others have been banned.
The former Chief Minister have also asked the Akalis to explain about the development they always talk about. He said that they have not provided even a single drop of drinking water to anyone. They have not done anything for the infrastructural development of the state and have failed to provide new employment opportunities to the youth.
Prominent among those present on the occasion were, PCC general secretary Arvind Khanna, local MP Vijay Inder Singla, Surjit Singh Dhiman, Nirmal Singh Shatrana and others.
Gidderbaha: Declaring war on the Badals in their home turf of Gidderbaha and Lambi, the PPCC President Captain Amarinder Singh on Thursday challenged Badals to win any of the two constituencies in the coming Assembly elections.
Addressing a huge gathering here, Amarinder appealed the masses to throw the Badals out, whether it be the CM Parkash Singh Badal, his deputy CM son Sukhbir Badal, daughter-in-law and Bathinda MP Harsimrat Kaur Badal and her brother Bikram Majithia and also the PPP chief Manpreet Badal.
“Manja Fer Diyange (we will wipe them out)”, Captain said, amidst thunderous applause and shouts of Bole So Nihal from an overcharged crowd.
The PCC President also recalled his achievements, like the introduction of the BT cotton, sanctioning of funds for cleaning of the canals and others and said that the Akalis have stopped the development of the state.
