Punjab Pardesh Congress Committee president Amarinder Singh on Saturday questioned the “cheap politicking” by Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal over the re-inauguration of the Khalsa Heritage Complex (KHC) and asked him whether he considered his status and stature above the saints who had already inaugurated it on April 14, 2006, Baisakhi day..

Reacting to the state government’s announcement that the complex will be re-inaugurated by Badal on November 25 in presence of film stars and chief ministers of various states, Amarinder remarked that it was more of a political function aimed at launching Badal’s election campaign than any respect for the Khalsa heritage, which would be last in the mind of a man like the CM, who is fighting a desperate and losing battle for his political survival.
