Chandigarh : Partap Singh Bajwa, Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) chief, has rejected the new industrial policy, saying it would prove to be just another disaster. In a statement, Bajwa said that SAD-BJP Government had created an unnecessary euphoria about the policy.
There was no incentive for the existing industry which was heavily burdened with taxes. Despite assurances on regular power supply, there was nothing happening on the ground. Bajwa said since Punjab was a land-locked state, promoting small-scale industry would have been the best way to boost economy and provide employment to the skilled youth.
