Chandigarh : The Congress today accused the SAD of using the Election Commission to sabotage the ongoing probe by the SIT into the sacrilege and police firing incidents.

Days after the SAD complained against probing officer of the SIT Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh, PPCC chief Sunil Jakhar along with Cabinet ministers Sukhjinder Randhawa, Bharat Bhushan Ashu and Gurpreet Kangar today submitted a representation in this regard to the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) S Karuna Raju.

Jakhar said the SAD filed false and frivolous complaints against the officers probing the sacrilege, who had nothing to do with the process of poll process. “Since the implementation of the poll code, the SAD and its leaders are filing frivolous and false complaints against government officials to pressure and intimidate them,” the PPCC chief alleged.
