Amarinder holds meets with MLAs, party workers

CHANDIGARH : Chief minister Amarinder Singh on Tuesday held meetings with party MLAs and workers to mobilise them for the Lok Sabha elections.

The chief minister welcomed Parminder Mehta from Ludhiana back into the Congress and also oversaw the joining of Harmeet Singh Pathanmajra, who had contested as an independent candidate in the 2017 assembly polls from the Sanaur constituency in Patiala parliamentary constituency.

Harmeet’s entry will help boost the Congress in Patiala, he said. The Valmiki Samaj led by MLA Raj Kumar Verka also extended its support to the Congress.
