Bathinda : Punjab Finance Minister Manpreet Singh Badal said on Wednesday that seeing the response Congress is getting in the state, they were sure that Congress would accomplish its ‘Mission 13’ in the state. He also stated that it because Congress government under Captain Amarinder Singh has done tremendous work. “We have managed to break down the supply chains of the drugs peddling in the state,” he said.
Moreover, he stated that as promised in two phases, the state government has given loan waivers to the farmers in the state. “While on another hand, SAD-BJP doesn’t have any issue to seek votes from people in these polls and they are facing public heat over sacrilege incidents across the state,” he said. Manpreet accompanied by AICC national spokesperson from Mumbai Charanjit Singh Sapra on Wednesday held public meetings at Inderprast Colony, Pukhraj Colony, Mehna chowk, Dr Maheshwari chowk and others areas in the city. While addressing the workers, Manpreet said, “The NYAY scheme of the Congress will support people belonging to financially weaker sections of society. Under the scheme, five crore families will get monetary support of Rs 72,000 yearly. The government will transfer the amount in the account of a woman member of the family.” He also stated that as MNREGA proved to be a great scheme the rural areas, NYAY will be for both rural and urban areas. He also stated that Congress manifesto has prepared after taking lots of inputs from the experts and we have said only what we can deliver. Lashing out at SADBJP, Manpreet said, “BJP in Centre and SAD in state have affected the traders and led to closing down of trades in the Punjab.” “Modi government bring in GST in totally wrong manner and affected the traders, whereas we have promised that on coming to power, a new and simplified GST would be implemented, which would provide relief to the all the traders,” he added. He also alleged SAD for putting state under burden of loans for personal luxurious expenditures. He said after hard work of two years, now the wheel of state economy has started returning back on track. We have cut down unnecessary expenditures.
