Chandigarh : With suspense continuing over his next course of action, Navjot Singh Sidhu is said to be waiting for the outcome of the proposed meeting between Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh and senior leader Ahmed Patel.

After Sidhu’s meeting with Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi in Delhi yesterday, Ahmed Patel had been asked to sort out the issue with the Chief Minister, who is scheduled to return from vacation on June 13.

On June 14, the Chief Minister is scheduled to go to Delhi to attend a meeting of Niti Aayog. Sidhu’s issue is expected to be discussed at his meeting with Patel, if it takes place. “In the eventuality of party leadership being able to strike a compromise between the two state leaders, a consultative committee on power could be formed under Sidhu,” said sources.
