Jalandhar : Partap singh Bajwa, PPCC president, today suggested that Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal should take an all-party delegation to Prime Minister Narendra Modi to demand handing over of Chandigarh to Punjab, withdrawal of SLP seeking eviction of Punjabi farmers in Gujarat, a CBI probe into the drug racket and industrial subsidies.

Bajwa is on a two-day tour of Jalandhar. He began the tour with a series of rallies in the wards of party councillors and former councillors. He said Modi, soon after taking over as PM, had said he would rid Punjab of the drug menace.

"Now that BJP leaders, especially from Amritsar, are saying they will expose the drug supply chain, the PM must act and order a CBI inquiry into the possible involvement of Akali leaders.

On Navjot Sidhu's recent outbursts, he claimed: "The real clash between the SAD and BJP is over sharing of political wealth. While earlier the ratio may have been 70:30, now the BJP wants a bigger pie.”

Asked about Rosy Bhattal, niece of Congress leader Rajinder Kaur Bhattal, joining the BJP, he said Rosy had no political standing. Asked if he aspired to be a CM, he said: “ As a politician I aspire to be on that post. What’s wrong in that?”
