Nawanshahar : Senior Congress leader and Anandpur Sahib MP Manish Tewari has urged the Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh for early implementation of the project for low voltage electrified wire fencing along the Kandi belt to prevent wild animals from damaging the crops. Tewari has also sought the early execution of the plans to set up industrial zone along the Kandi belt, most of which falls within the Anandpur Sahib Parliamentary constituency.

CHANDIGARH : The rebel Congress minister Navjot Singh Sidhu appears to be taking his political battle with the Chief Minister Capt Amarinder Singh too far towards a situation from where it may be difficult for him to return. Even after two days of the cabinet reshuffle, Sidhu has not joined his new ministry of Power so far.

Ropar : Anandpur Sahib MP Manish Tewari today sought adequate compensation and rehabilitation for the fire victims whose shops and business establishments were gutted in a blaze early on Friday morning. Expressing shock over the massive loss due to the fire, he assured the victims that he will do everything possible to get them adequate compensation and proper rehabilitation so that their livelihood does not suffer.
