LUDHIANA: Keeping up with a “zero tolerance” policy towards traffic violations in Ludhiana, the traffic wing of the police commissionerate, along with district transport officer Anil Kumar Garg, challaned the Toyota Innova of Moga MLA Joginder Pal Jain that had an amber beacon and was being used by his son. It was intercepted at a naka set up by the district administration and the police near Phullanwal village on Pakhowal Road on Friday.

Chandigarh : Punjab government has received a grant of Rs 28.50 crore as first instalment of the annual action plan to be implemented under National Horticulture Mission (NHM). Union Agriculture Ministry has already approved an annual action plan of Rs 82.50 crore for the state under the NHM in the current financial year to promote agriculture diversification programme in the agrarian state.
