CHANDIGARH: Punjab chief minister Captain Amarinder Singh on Wednesday wrote to Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Sunil Arora seeking review of the election commission order relieving inspector general of police (IGP) Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh as a member of the special investigation team (SIT) probing the 2015 Behbal Kalan and Kotkapura firing incidents.

Chandigarh : The Election Commission’s decision to shift IG Kunwar Vijay Pratap out of the SIT probing the Behbal Kalan and Kotkapura firing cases has led to a political slugfest. While the ruling Congress and the main Opposition Aam Aadmi Party have backed the officer, the Akali Dal, on whose complaint the officer has been shifted, has supported the EC move.
