Vivek Ramaswamy, a successful biotech entrepreneur has been ranked 24th on ‘America’s Richest Entrepreneurs Under 40 2016’ list with a net worth of 600 million dollars and Apoorva Mehta stands at 31st spot with a 360 million dollars networth.

Sikh doctor survives plane crash in US; lands plane on estuary

New York: A Sikh doctor has miraculously survived a plane crash after he managed to land the aircraft he was piloting on the frigid waters of an estuary near here and then along with his co-pilot swam to a large rock. Inderpal Chhabra, a 48-year-old prominent physician who resides in Woodbury, and co-pilot David Tobachnik, 59, of Coram, were flying a Beechcraft Bonanza when the engine began to shake.

Washington: A Sikh gala in the US has raised US $250,000 to fund scholarship for financially strapped students in Punjab and neighbouring states. The funds raised at the gala organised by Sikh Human Development Fund (SHDF) will help in providing scholarship to 700 bright students who could not pursue studies due to lack of money, the organisation said in a media release.
