HOSHIARPUR: A bus belonging to Rajdhani transport company, in which the Badal family reportedly has stakes, hit a motorcycle, killing two men, near Hariana town in Hoshiarpur district on Monday. About a dozen passengers were also injured as the bus too overturned. The injured were admitted to hospitals in Hariana and Hoshiarpur.

BATHINDA: The Bathinda police have arrested two of the four men accused in the killing of a 24-yearold dancer in firing at a wedding in Maur town late Saturday night. The two arrested include Lucky Goel, alias Billa, and Sanjay Goel, the son of former Akali councillor Vijay Goel.

Chandigarh : As many as 1,500 companies of paramilitary forces would be required for deployment at all 22,600 polling stations in Punjab during the next year Assembly polls, according to an assessment by state election office here.
