Boy killed as SUV hits school bus near Phagwara

Phagwara : A schoolboy, Harish Kumar (12) of Jagatpur Jattan village, was killed and 21 students belonging to Bhanoki, Uchapind and Jagatpur Jattan villages were injured when their school bus (PB-08AK-4441) was hit by a speeding SUV (Tata Safari, PB-08-3752) in front of Sahibzada Ajit Singh Public School in Sarhali village on the Phagwara-Nakodar road at 8.20 am this morning.

Chandigarh : After busting boxers-drugs nexus, which yielded recovery of over 1 metric-tonne synthetic drugs worth over Rs 1,700 crore, the Punjab Police on Thursday claimed its biggest-ever drug haul with the recovery of synthetic drugs worth over Rs 2,000 crore from five international smugglers, including a Myanmar national.

Acid attack victim to be flown to Mumbai

3-day police remand for acid attack accused

Ludhiana : The city police produced all the accused in the Ludhiana acid attack case before a local court last evening. They have been sent on police remand till December 12. The accused comprise Amitpal Kaur, Parvinder Singh, Sunnypreet Singh, Gurtej Singh, Rakesh Kumar and Jaspreet Singh.
