15 students injured as school bus overturns in Patiala

Patiala : A school bus carrying around 25 students overturned near the Truck Union office today after it was hit by a speeding Innova car. At least 15 students of Kaintal School sustained minor injuries and were admitted to a nearby private hospital for treatment. The victims were discharged after being administered the first-aid. Charanjeet Singh, the bus driver, said when he was negotiating a turn, the Innova car coming from the Rajpura side jumped the red light and hit the bus as a result of which the vehicle overturned.

Nawanshahr : The body of Varkha Rani (25), who belonged to Shaheed Udham Singh Nagar here, was found in the house of her in-laws in Walsal, UK, recently. The UK police has rounded up 10 persons, including her husband Jasvir Ram Ginde, in the case.

The mutilated body of 18-year old Sukhjinder Singh was found from a canal this morning. He had gone missing from Kot-ise-Khan town in the district on Friday.
